On December 8, 2023, the awarding ceremony for the cooperation between the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Anhui University and VSEE company to build a practical education base for college students was held at VSEE company. Vice Dean Zhang Hui, Director Fang Jiangtao, Teacher Li Zijian, Weisong Optoelectronics General Manager Hu Bo, Chief Technical Engineer Wei Fangkun, Human Resources Director Ye Jianfang and 40 student representatives from Anhui University attended the awarding ceremony.

Anhui University is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Anhui Provincial People's Government. It is a key comprehensive university in Anhui Province and is listed as a national "Double First-Class" and "211 Project" university. The School of Materials Science and Engineering is a key college responsible for the construction of Anhui University's Double First-Class. It has established provincial and above platforms such as the Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Magnetic Functional Materials and Devices, the Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Information Materials and Devices, the Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Photoelectric Conversion Energy Materials and Devices, and the Anhui Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center for Magnetic Materials. Currently, there are more than 50 doctoral students and more than 330 master's students on campus.

At the awarding ceremony, Hu Bo, general manager of VSEE company, delivered a welcome speech, and the human resources director led the teachers and students of Anhui University School of Science and Engineering to visit Weisong Company, and gave a detailed introduction to Weisong's development history, product areas, development plans, industry prospects, etc.

Wei Fangkun, Chief Technical Engineer of VSEE company, demonstrated the machine to teachers and students, introduced the company's main products, and emphasized: "Material science is crucial in the optoelectronic industry. The software algorithm in optoelectronic equipment determines the lower limit, and the hardware material of the equipment determines the upper limit of the product." He also hopes that more students will participate in the research and development of materials science in Weisong products in the future, and jointly develop products that lead the intelligent revolution in sorting equipment.

During the unveiling ceremony, Zhang Hui, deputy dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, expressed high recognition for VSEE company‘s strength, scientific research achievements, and product performance. "I hope that in the later practical education, we can improve students' practical ability, achieve the integration of industry and education, and closely combine industry and teaching to support and promote each other."

The Anhui University School of Materials Science and Engineering's undergraduate practice education base was officially established in VSEE company, implying that the two sides have officially started a new model of school-enterprise cooperation. In the following cooperation, VSEE company will work hand in hand with Anhui University School of Materials Science and Engineering to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results in school-enterprise cooperation in technology research, achievement transformation, and high-tech talent training.
